The goal of Paper io is to expand your territory and outlast other players. You begin with a small colored section on the map. As you move away from your area, your square leaves a thin trail behind. When you loop back to your land, the enclosed area fills in with your color, increasing your overall space.

Your mission is to claim as much of the map as possible while avoiding being eliminated. You can eliminate opponents by crossing their trails before they reconnect to their own land. However, the same rule applies to you — one mistake can end your round instantly.
